We are seeking an exceptional individual to join our Academic Human Resources team as the Student Employment Analyst (Administrative Analyst/Specialist - Exempt I).
The ideal candidate in this role should have a positive attitude and an active, energetic mind that is characterized by highly ethical practices and a commitment to diversity, openness, flexibility, integrity, and kindness.
Responsible for the overall execution of the University's recruitment and appointment technology systems and business processes for hiring non-represented student employees.
Serves as campus lead and provides support to and collaborates with various CSU and campus stakeholders on those matters.
Continually reviews processes and technology to seek improvement and innovation in alignment with the University's strategic goals.
Performs highly complex work to review and assess student employment program needs and challenges.
Provides recommended courses of action and implements proposed solutions upon final consultation with management.
Provides strategies, recommendations, and tools for recruitment and selection.
Partners with Student Employment program staff on special events related to student employment, onboarding processes for student employees, and professional development trainings for student employees and supervisors/leads.
Other duties as assigned.
Essential Qualifications Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university and/or the equivalent training and administrative work experience involving the study, analysis, evaluation, development or improvement of administrative policies, procedures, practices, or programs plus two years of related experience.
Working knowledge of and the ability to apply standard theories, principles, practices, and techniques applicable to the program or administrative specialty to develop conclusions and make recommendations.
Thorough knowledge of policies, procedures, and outside regulations pertaining to the applicable program or administrative specialty.
Working knowledge of operational and fiscal analysis and techniques.
Ability to take initiative and plan, organize, coordinate, and perform work in various situations where numerous and diverse demands are involved.
Skilled in research, development, and evaluation of policies and programs.
Ability to collect, evaluate, and interpret data to develop sound conclusions and make appropriate recommendations.
Expertise investigating and analyzing problems with broad administrative impact and implications.
Ability to anticipate problems and address them proactively.
Demonstrated ability to effectively interpret, organize, and present information and ideas in written or presentation form.
Ability to train others on new skills and procedures and provide lead work direction.
A background check (including a criminal records check) must be completed satisfactorily and is required for employment.

Preferred Qualifications Experience working in a higher education environment.
Experience working with human resources processes.
Experience working with an applicant tracking system, preferably PageUp.
Experience developing and delivering training.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
